dom scripting resources
I'm not a Javascript guy, but I am a Standards Guy. Every now and then someone asks me how they should learn DOM scripting. It doesn't look so good when I'm forced to do a Homer Simpson impression and mutter "uhhhidunno".
Apparently I'm not the only one however, since the question has just been asked on the WSG email list. This is nothing more than a collation of recommended resources, which is called "research" in academic circles ;)
- The Web Standards Project has just announced the DOM Scripting Task Force
- Adactio (the author also has a book in the works: DOM Scripting: Web Design with JavaScript and the Document Object Model)
- QuirksMode
- Simon Willison's Weblog
- Gecko DOM Reference
- kryogenix.org
- www.howtocreate.co.uk | JavaScript tutorial
Agree? Disagree? Feel free to comment. As I said, I'm not a script guy... I just need to be able to advise people anyway. Such is life as a standards advocate :)
